I started serving this smoothie to David a few times a week when we learned that Maca can help with an enlarged prostrate.  Since David has suffered with that for years (it was discovered when he had bladder cancer) we decide that adding it to his smoothies was a good idea.  Maca is really nutritious so I think it’s a great idea to add it to any smoothie if you want to help improve mood, energy, memory or even relieve symptoms of menopause.  It’s really good for so many things.  It has a distinct flavor so I think it compliments the chocolate best.

Ingredients 

1 1/2 cup coconut water or coconut milk

1 TBSP Maca

3 TBSP hemp seeds

1 scoop chocolate plant based protein powder

1 cup ice

Directions

Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
